We are not dependent on federal fundingand our work continues because of you —our community newsletters, supporters, and allies. How about a business that always feels affirming or safe? It is important that we remind ourselves and each other of this: New York State law is on our side.

They are not simply political maneuvers; they are attempts to erase us, to make us invisible again. They fought for every inch gay the legal protections we now have in New York State, and we will not surrender those rights willingly; we will not surrender those rights at all.

If you are reading this, consider this your call to action: Educate yourself on your rights. And yet, we are still here. These local decisions, whether in classrooms, hospitals, or housing systems, create real harm. File a complaint.

The past few weeks, months—hell, even the past decade—have been exhausting, each day bringing a new round of political attacks, executive orders, and institutional failures that remind us just how fragile progress can feel.
